Simple SSRS Report

Create a simple SSRS report

Step :1 Open your BIDS

Step 2: Go to File-->New Project--> Select report server project--> Rename it (optional) Image shows clearly

 Step 3:Right click on reports-->Add-->New item

Step 4: Select report-->rename it(Optional)--> click on add

Step 5:  On window Right click --> insert--> table

Step 6:
In Dataset Properties wizard choose use a data set embedded in my report-->click new
Next in Data Source Properties wizard Choose used shared data source references--> click new

Step 7:
On shared data source properties wizard click on Edit--> then server name (local or .(dot))--> select the data base name-->click on Test Connection -->OK-->OK

Step 8:  
 Now by default you will get Connection string-->Click OK

Step 9:
 Select the data source references from drop down  list--> click OK

Step 10:
 Then write the query and click OK
{If you want to check weather the syntax correct or not click on Query designer }

Step 11:
Now drag and drop the fields which are needed 

Step 12:
After that click on preview-- You will get the report details( Show below capture)
